Add customizable content

1. Customization entry

Click on the Library page and then the add button "+" at the bottom right to jump to the customization page as illustrated in the graphic below:

At present, the customizable content consists of six categories: disciplines, journals, scholars, themes, hotspots, and projects. Users can customize different content in different categories. And while customizing disciplines, users can obtain thematic literature and conference information automatically.

2.Discipline customization

On the page of the discipline category, disciplines are divided into three levels and Level 1 is divided into seven discipline classifications. The left side below Level 1 categories presents Level 2 classifications, and the right side below presents Level 3 classifications under Level 2 classifications. Level 3 classifications are customizable. The right side of a Level 3 entry presents the number of updates today and the total number of articles under the classification, which is convenient for users to customize, and users can click on the entry to view the details. On the discipline detail page, users can search articles within the disciplines through keywords, switch between Chinese and English articles, sort (by publication time, relevance, number of citations and number of downloads, etc.) and screen (by theme, publication year, research level, author, organization, fund, etc.).

After the customization is completed, users can view the latest articles updated today in Library and also all articles of the customized disciplines. Full-text articles can be customized through searching, sorting and screening. After the customization is completed, CNKI Express will broadcast the customized content to users in real time on the home page.

3. Journal customization

On the page of the journal category, journals are displayed by disciplines that are divided into two levels, with Level 1 being divided into seven discipline classifications. The lower left side of Level 1 classifications displays Level 2 classifications, while the lower right side displays journals. Three modes are designed for sorting journals, namely, comprehensive impact, international impact and domestic impact. By clicking on the customization button on the right side of the journal section, users can complete or cancel customization; or by clicking on a single entry, users can enter the journal detail page, view detailed information and complete customization on the page.

4. Conference customization

The conference customization is completed simultaneously with the discipline customization. After customization, the system will actively push the latest project and conference information according to the customized classifications.

5. Project customization

On the page of the project category, projects are displayed by levels, with Level 1 consisting of two classifications, namely, natural sciences and social sciences. The lower left side of Level 1 presents Level 2 classifications, and the right side presents the specific subject of the project.

By clicking on the customization button on the right side of the project, users can complete or cancel the customization; or by clicking on a single entry, users can enter the project detail page, view detailed information (declared projects and approved projects) as illustrated in the graphic below:

6. Scholar customization

Users can customize the scholars they follow, and get the latest information posted by the scholars in time.

According to the research field, the scholars are displayed by disciplines that are divided into two levels, with Level 1 being divided into seven disciplinary classifications. The lower left side of Level 1 classifications displays Level 2 classifications, while the lower right side displays the corresponding list of scholars under the Level 2 classifications. By clicking on the customization button on the right side of the scholar section, users can complete or cancel customization.

7. Theme customization

By clicking on the Library page and the add button "+" at the bottom right of the page, users can enter the customization page, and by clicking on the theme entry, users can jump to the theme customization page as illustrated in the graphic below:

8. Hotspot customization

Hotspots are displayed by disciplines that are divided into two levels, with Level 1 being divided into seven disciplinary classifications. The lower left side of Level 1 classifications displays Level 2 classifications, while the lower right side displays hotspots. By clicking on the customization button on the right side of the hotpot section, users can complete or cancel customization.
