The various Spring Festival customs could be found in the reference works, such as staying up late on New Year' Eve, sweeping the dust, offering sacrifices to the kitchen gods, pasting the Spring Festival couplets, playing dragon lanterns and eating New Year's tea.

Join us in the CNKI Reference Works Treasure Hunter Competition! This event will be based on the CNKI China Reference Works Online (CRWO), which gathers over 14,000 reference works, including those on language and character, source of information, and information retrieval. It is an indispensable tool for scholars and students to access classic materials and authoritative annotations.
Let's become Treasure Hunters together, uncovering the treasures of knowledge and embarking on a journey of wisdom in this competition! CRWO will help you to to rise like a dragon on your way to the academic summit in the new year. There are also generous awards waiting for you~
Participants can accumulate points in three ways: Basic Skills Competition, Advanced Challenge, and Surprise Bonus. The top 100 participants with the highest points by the end of the event will receive awards~

①Register:
After registration, the Event Committee will create a CRWO account for you within three working days (if your institution has subscribed to CRWO, you can directly use the institutional account to participate).
②Start the Quiz: After the account is created, you can use CRWO for searches and participate in the quiz.
Fill-in-the-blank questions, choice questions, and image questions
A total of 20 questions, each worth 5 points, for a maximum score of 100 points
In addition to Basic Skills Competition, Advanced Challenge, you can also earn 5 bonus points (only once) by reposting or commenting on any post from CNKI's official Facebook account with the hashtag #2024 CNKI Reference Works Treasure Hunter Competition.
If you are not familiar with how to use the CRWO, come and get your competition BUFF! We will arrange four online sharing sessions to help you quickly grasp the tips for using reference works. The content of the four sessions is the same, and you can choose to attend any of them~
