Abstract: Xuanying’s Yijiejing Yinyi(The Sound and Meaning of the Tripitaka) is the earliest extant manuscript which defines the sounds and meanings of the words in Buddhist scriptures.This paper,based on the Tang edition of Xuanying’s Yijiejing Yinyi,tries to make an analysis of the collation by Wang Guowei,Shao Ruipeng,Zhou Zumo and Jiang Lihong.
